WHO WE ARE AND WHAT THIS POLICY COVERS
KKLT is a non-profit organisation currently registered in the UK. We aim to create awareness about leukaemia, offer support for patients and families affected with leukaemia and any other blood cancer, hold awareness drive encouraging and recruiting black and ethnic minorities to register on the bone marrow registry.

On our websites we collect and use personal information (including name, address, telephone number and email) in order to:
- Process registration into bone marrow registry
- Respond to queries or requests submitted by you
- Administer or otherwise carry out our obligations in relation to any agreement you may have with us
Your data will be transmitted to us in an encrypted form in order to exclude access by unauthorised third parties. In principle, we store your data on specially protected servers.
TRANSMISSION OF YOUR PERSONAL-RELATED DATA TO THIRD PARTIES
The purpose of processing your data is to procure stem cell donors to patients in need. Your donor data as well as the results of the typing of your tissue characteristics (HLA typing) will be transmitted in an anonymised form to national and/or international stem cell donor registries. Only such data will be transmitted which is relevant for the donor search. Essentially, this includes a donor identification number, gender, date of birth, tissue typing results, the number of tissue typing’s conducted to date and the donor status (available or unavailable). Names, addresses or similar identifying data will not be transmitted.

HOW LONG WE RETAIN YOUR DATA
We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes we collected it for, including the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.
We will hold personal data for the period we are required to retain this information by applicable UK tax law.
KKLT has agreed to retain the information collected in Google Analytics indefinitely in order to allow us to analyse trends in our website usage over time. This is not personally identifiable information.
YOUR RIGHTS OVER YOUR DATA
If you have filled contact us, volunteering or donation form, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you, please contact email@example.com. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes
KEEPING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION SECURE
We have appropriate security measures in place to prevent personal information from being accidentally lost or used or accessed in an unauthorised way.
